You can download the extension immediately after purchase. During your subscription period, after logging in with your username and password, you can download the latest version of extension via the download board.
  1. - Extension to use at your Joomla site

Please Unzip First the package

Inside the package you will see the extension

Install the extension via Joomla Installer at Joomla Administrator area. Installer can be found at administrator/index.php?option=com_installer

After successful installation you will get a success message.  Now the plugin is available to use.  You can find the plugin at Module Manager. ( administrator/index.php?option=com_plugins)

At module manager make a search for plugin title : System - Content Reader

Click on to the plugin title and open the plugin . You will see that the plugin is installed with default values.

All extension parameters are well-explained. All you need to do is rolling your mouse over the parameter title. A info window will show parameter title and a short description about parameter.

Sometimes, when it is necessary we add notes before the parameter to make it more clear for users.

Plugin parameters are organized in 5 different sections:

  1. Reading 
  2. Images,
  3. Audio
  4. Style
  5. Performance
  6. Advanced

Every parameter is explained very well. 

Please roll your mouse over the parameter title and a description window will shown.

If you are using Joomla 4 description is just underneath the title.

You can use the reader :

  1. Only user selected text mode or
  2. Pre-defined text mode together with user selected text mode

If you select 2nd option, then you must define content blocks.

You must use pre-defined selectors to define a part of your website to enable the content reader.

You must define text selectors for the reader to read.

Lets say you have want reader reads the content blog between a div with class="mycontent" then you must write the below text : 


You can add multiple class, id selectors.

You can also use any kind of attributes.

For example, lets say a part of your content has itemprop=headline" attributre, you can write simply, 


and reader will read the content of that atribute.

IMPORTANT :  You must write multiple by comma separated as seen as default value.


You must enable the read images option at Images section of the plugin backend.

When you enable the read images, you will see options to attribute to read, order and read on hover or not.

If you select yes at read on hover, reader will read the alt or the title attribute when a user hover the mouse on to an image.

Default volume value is editable at plugin back-end. Vistors can change the volume at front-end by starting the default value chosen by you.

You can also set the speed of the reader.

You can use one of the current audio engines.

Currently there are 7 different engines. 

  1. Responsive Voice
  2. Google
  3. Virtual Speaker Free
  4. ISpeech
  5. Inforobo
  6. TextMp3
  7. TTSMp3

You must set "Hide on Mobile Devices" option to No at Audio Section.

At style section, there are 3 different styles. You can select one of them.

If you want you can select custom style and edit the style .css for custom styles.

Editor button can be enabled at Advanced section.
